What is PowerSchool?
PowerSchool provides web-based information access to students, parents, teachers and administrators. PowerSchool will allow parents and students to access all of their grades for each class in addition to other school information. It also incorporates easy to use communication tools to facilitate discussions about student progress.
How do I get access?
PowerSchool logins were distributed to parents and students in the first quarter progress report mailing.
Who do I contact if lose my login?
Mrs. Pryor can provide a new copy of the login information. She can be reached via email (r.pryor@spsv.org) or by phone (707-644-4425 x 414).
How often will teachers update grades?
Teachers will update grades at least once every two weeks. Most teachers update grades more frequently.
Can teachers write comments?
Yes, teachers can write comments about student progress in general or about individual assignments. If an individual assignment has the student score in blue, then there is a hyperlink to a comment about that assignment.
Do I have to login to PowerSchool each time I want to check grades?
No, you can choose to have PowerSchool email you your child's grades. In the parent account there is an icon labled "Email Notification" in the Navigation bar at the top. Click on it, make your selections, fill in the email addresses you wish to have notified, and you can receive updates via email. If you do not see "Email Notification" at the top, you are in the student account. When you received the account information at progress report time, you received two accounts--one for student access and one for parent access.
